The Leona Dress has a figure-hugging silhouette that compliments your curves and creates a flattering and effortlessly stylish vibe. The slip-on style dress has no tricky fastenings so is perfect for beginners! The bodice has a fitted shape with a deep v neckline, low back and thin straps. The semi-lined dress also has two versions with a midi-length skirt and side slits, or a shorter length skirt.

Fabric recommendations
This dress can be sewn with any 4-way stretch fabric such as jersey, crepe jersey, stretch velvet, scuba, or any fabric with at least an 8% elastane/spandex content and that isn't too lightweight. A medium weight fabric will have more structure and will feel less flimsy.
Fabric Requirements
For sizes 6 - 16 you will need 2 metres or 2.2 yards of fabric to make this dress.
For sizes 18 - 24 you will need 2.5m or 2.7 yards of fabric to make this dress.

This sewing pattern is designed for a looser fit, so when choosing sizes go by your bust measurement.

I loved this pattern! I used it as my birthday dress and it was so flattering. I had to adjust the length as I’m a lot shorter, but it was pretty easy!

I had such fun sewing the Leona dress! It was my very first time sewing with stretchy fabric, and it worked out just fine (I don’t have a serger). The pattern is easy to cut and put together. The instructions are super clear… And the final result is a beautiful glamorous dress that I’ll wear for New Year’s Eve! I’d recommend this product to beginners. I will be making this dress again for sure!

I love love love this pattern! This is the second dress I made with this pattern. I slightly altered it to have one slit down the side. Instructions were very clear. I have only made 4 other pieces of clothing so I am still a beginner and found this dress straight forward. Very happy with this piece.
