I am so excited to launch my latest sewing pattern The Raman Dress! You can find this on my website here or over on my Etsy shop here. I’ve been lusting over making another dress that is perfect for summer evenings with a glass of vino in had, and behold The Raman Dress.
The Raman Dress Pattern
I personally love any dresses that I can throw on without any annoying zips, so I wanted to make this dress beginner-friendly and made the waist loose fitting enough so it can go over your head without the need for a zip. The Raman Dress is a floaty summer dress that features long tie straps, a square neckline and a three-tiered skirt with a stylish exposed ruffle detail. The pattern currently runs from UK sizes 6 – 24 and looks effortlessly stylish in this egyptian cotton from Minerva!
The Fabric
I wanted to make this version in a stunning colourful fabric that wasn’t too overpowering. I came across this beautiful cream cotton that has orange, gold and purple floral details that are illustrated to look embroidered and it adds such a luxurious touch. I can’t recommend this fabric enough, it’s not sheer, drapes beautifully and is incredibly high quality and soft. Storrs London are the makers of this fabric, I’ve been a huge fan of them ever since sewing my Rhea dress in the same fabric just a different pattern design.
